Elwood the Astronaut
Every neighborhood needs a local legend, and in this one it's an astronaut who came down somewhere they weren't supposed to and never quite left.
A poem by Elwood... In the midst of a pandemic's grip,
An astronaut lands in Elwood, his spaceship equipped.
The astronaut gazes up at the sky,
Reminiscing of his days up high.
As the days pass, the astronaut learns,
That within limits, new horizons he earns.
The gulls become his friends, the waves his muse,
In Elwood, in a pandemic, he finds his use.
The sausage: Acrylic and oils painted on A3 acrylic pad.
